Several people have brought to our attention from the photos the apparent roof damage and the need for a new roof plus the water damage inside the building! Has this issue been addressed by the Building Committee? We do have a Building Committee don't we?!

$860 for this? Every dollar being spent on the Sanger Mausoleum is a dollar which could be used to serve veterans. This very expensive Mausoleum is not needed for the Dept.'s small staff, nor for the convenience of officers, i.e., Legion politicians, who are occasionally there. How many Blue Cap Legionnaires who are paying for this Mausoleum have actually been there? What percentage of the total membership?

True $860,000 was the correct number but let’s not forget about the interest on the loan. By the time we pay off this loan it will be well over a Million Dollars +!!! I ask you a simple question my fellow comrades; would you buy a home in this condition and sign a contract that can be called due and payable upon demand with a 60 day notice? This is exactly what has been done without enough information being given at two DEC’s and a Convention to the Blue Caps. This building will be a disaster for the American Legion by the time all repairs have been completed and the loan has been paid off. Let us put the monies where they need to be and do the most good; the VAR. I insist we sale this building before it drags down the American Legion and Bankrupts us.
